Our infrastructure teams are responsible for providing a private cloud to meet the needs of the Monaco Telecom Group. These teams work closely together to cover the entire spectrum — from the core virtualization and storage infrastructure (IaaS), to containerization platforms like Kubernetes and databases (PaaS), and finally to the application and service layers (SaaS). Several key applications essential to our telecom operations run on various components of this private cloud.

The “Data Engineering” team is responsible for ensuring the consistency and continuity of data processing across the company and its subsidiaries. Data is the lifeblood of any industry; whether functional or technical, its use drives business and operational decisions. The team leverages and assembles the components provided by the cloud infrastructure teams to industrialize and secure data processing for various business units, such as finance teams billing our clients, sales teams refining marketing campaigns, or operations teams improving mobile coverage quality or our core networks.

As a “Data Engineering” intern, you will be directly involved in the continuous improvement of our data mesh, particularly focusing on data processing pipelines — from data collection across various systems to making it available for business teams. The data ecosystem is in constant evolution within the industry, and we closely monitor these developments to adapt our open-source-oriented big data technical stack, all within a private cloud environment.

Several challenges await you: dataset profiling, anomaly detection, automation of new data extraction pipelines, building a data warehouse and its data catalog, as well as evaluating and implementing a data presentation solution tailored to our various business units (dashboard services and dashboard templates).

Kafka, Kafka Connect/Kafka Streams, Spark sur Kubernetes, S3, Iceberg, Talend, Postgresql et Apache Superset.

Strong Linux skills and a pragmatic approach to organizing and structuring data processing. Practical experience with components of our technical stack or with public cloud in a big data context is a strong plus.
