Within the IP team, the IP Design Manager is responsible for designing and deploying network systems, services, and infrastructures under the department’s scope. They actively contribute to improving systems and infrastructures to ensure optimal quality and stability.

  • Defines, designs, and documents the network and services architecture.
  • Conducts architecture studies and determines the choice of supplier, technology, and sizing while considering performance, capacity, cost, and automation parameters. Ensures compliance with the security rules defined by the CISO.
  • Holds responsibility for the engineering of major/strategic projects.
  • Audits the performance, security, and reliability of existing network systems and infrastructure.
  • Deploys and evolves solutions required for service and network monitoring.
  • Ensures the reliability of implemented solutions through regular redundancy testing campaigns.
  • Provides support to the operations teams.
  • Ensures the transfer of knowledge, skills, and documentation to the operations teams for every production deployment.
  • Participates in resolving complex issues in support of the operations teams.
  • Keeps abreast of the market and ensures technological watch/monitoring.
  • Keeps informed of market developments, supplier solutions, and emerging technologies. Also manages the obsolescence of existing infrastructures and contributes to the roadmap.
  • Profile
  • - Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac +5) in Computer Science, Networking, or Telecommunications.
  • - Minimum 5 years of experience with a telecom operator or in a data center.
  • Technical skills
  • - Expertise and/or certification on Nokia/Alcatel, Cisco, or Fortinet equipment.
  • - Advanced knowledge in networking: OSPF/BGP (EVPN, VPNv4), MPLS, MPLS VPN architectures, and VxLAN.
  • - Hands-on knowledge of cloud computing infrastructures (OpenStack, VMware, Docker, Linux).
  • - Experience with automation tools and development (Ansible, Netconf, Python, Git).
  • - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, internally and to clients.

  • A Nokia SRA or Cisco CCIE certification would be a significant plus.
